This is one of my favourite temples in Busan. I lived in this city for almost a year with my bandmates from 2013 to 2014. This place is located on the mountain side of Baegyangsan and it has the most beautiful scenic view I have even seen in Korea.
This temple is open 24 hours a day so you can come to this place anytime. I advise you to take your own car if you don’t like to walk because taxis hardly come to this place. We went to this place at around 12 am after our work and it was a perfect time. It was drizzling, the weather was cooler, the lanterns are beautiful with their own lights, Buddhists are praying and you feel the solemnity of your surrounding.
It’s also worth a visit if you love hiking and make sure to bring appropriate clothes.
It is also the best tourist spots to visit in Busan. The festival to celebrate Buddha’s Birthday is well known for the lantern displays of about 3 million in total number with many different types that are on show for the entire month.
